The panel between the laptop sleeve and the front face is one continuous piece of 4.5 oz full grain hide over a hidden 1.5 mm fibreboard stiffener, so the bag holds its shape under load instead of collapsing around the laptop. Stress points at the handle roots are riveted through copper, not just stitched.
